Vehicle diagnostics and warning-light investigation
Our diagnostic appointment gives a technician time to investigate warning lights, limp mode, electrical faults and running problems using the symptoms and available vehicle data.
After booking, the vehicle, customer updates, recommendations and service documents remain connected through the same customer account.
What can the diagnostic appointment include?
The investigation is adapted to the symptom and the systems involved.
Customer symptom review
When the fault occurs, how often it happens and any recent repairs or events.
System scan
Relevant control modules are checked for stored and current diagnostic trouble codes.
Live data
Sensor values and operating information can be reviewed where useful.
Basic circuit testing
Accessible power supplies, grounds, signals or components may be tested within the booked time.
Technical interpretation
Fault codes are assessed alongside symptoms and test results rather than treated as automatic part replacements.
Road-test observations
Where safe and appropriate, the fault may be assessed under operating conditions.
Initial findings
The technician records what has been confirmed and what remains unproven.
Next-step estimate
Further diagnosis, parts or repairs can be quoted separately where required.
The diagnostic fee covers investigation time
It does not guarantee that every intermittent or complex fault can be fully resolved within the initial appointment. Additional test time may be recommended before parts are replaced.
Common reasons to book diagnostics
Describe the symptom as accurately as possible when booking.
Emissions, ignition, fuelling, sensor or engine-management faults.
The vehicle limits performance because a control system has detected a problem.
Battery drain, charging faults, inoperative equipment or communication issues.
Cutting out, hesitation, poor starting, misfire or inconsistent operation.
Information that helps diagnosis
Specific details are often more valuable than a general description.
Common questions about Vehicle Diagnostics
Is a fault-code scan the same as diagnostics?
No. A code is a starting point. Diagnosis uses symptoms, live information and testing to determine what the evidence actually supports.
Will the repair be included in the diagnostic price?
No. Parts and repair labour are quoted after the initial findings.
What if the fault is intermittent?
Intermittent faults can require additional time or repeat testing. Provide as much detail as possible about when the problem occurs.
Can I approve the repair online?
Yes. The team can send an itemised quote to the customer portal.
